Our provider's Network Operations Center (NOC)
is maintained 24 hours a day,
7 days a week,
365 days per year
by our system engineers. Ther NOC personnel monitors all systems,
handles with e-mail and network abuse complaints, and provides telephone
assistance to dedicated server and co-location clients.
Fully Equipped
NOC with Command Bridge and Circuit/Equipment/Apps Monitoring
The NOC is equipped with a SMC Command Bridge 200 unit, consisting
of ten 19" monitors and two 36" plasma displays. The Command
Bridge is used to monitor all critical systems, bandwidth, servers,
and even applications on the servers used for shared web hosting.
Through the NOC, even entering the IDCs is unnecessary, with the
exception of a hardware failure. The NOC and our provider's proprietary
monitoring applications allow them to resolve issues immediately
from within the NOC, without the need for physical access to the
IDCs.
Extensive
Monitoring through NOCSIV
Utilizing NOCSIV (Network Operations Center System Information View),
as well as MRTG, our providers are able to monitor all critical
systems from within their NOC. NOCSIV automatically monitors all
2,000+ servers on the network, as well as all network devices and
transit and long-haul circuits. Beyond simply ensuring these systems
are "up", NOCSIV also ensures the systems are responsive.
NOCSIV also monitors services running on the UNIX and Windows shared
web hosting servers.
